Description
Step into the forest to enjoy the view from the beautiful covered deck. Roast marshmallows by the fire pit or hike around in the nearby forest. Evans Dacha is conveniently located to all the major Black Hills attractions yet perfectly nestled in the forest. Being completely surrounded by trees and visiting wildlife, the Evans Dacha is a guest favorite.
Evans Dacha is fully furnished, including towels and linens. The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffee maker, dishes, and cooking utensils. This cabin can sleep 10 adults.
Upstairs, the master bedroom suite has a king size bed with sitting area and private bathroom and the second bedroom has a queen size bed. There is another bathroom on the main level upstairs. Downstairs, there is a bedroom with bunk beds, and another master suite with a bathroom and queen bed.

This was a beautiful place in the country but was still close to Crazy Horse and Mount Rushmore. Very quiet and had deer come right up to the house. My grandson was playing his music downstairs, and we were not able to hear it above. Very well insulated house. Each room had its own heat registers so we could all have our own level of comfort. If we ever get back to Custer, we will definitely stay at this property again.

The code that we received to open the front door did not work. I called and left a message with the staff after hours and received a call back in just a few minutes. They gave us a second code and we were in.

We loved the house and property and location from town. We visited at the end of April, (off season). Overall a great place and great stay, I would say the entertainment system is far more complex than needed for a VRBO. Also watch your head on that front porch light, it scalped me twice.

This was just an amazing home. Everything that you would need is in this home. The home's location is centrally located to all the major Black Hills experiences. Absolutely loved the deer feeding every morning and night in the yard. Would sit out on the incredible deck to watch while having our coffee. Was such a tremendous experience. We had a great stay and experience. The pictures of the home were up to date and accurate. The property is about 1.5 miles down a gravel road. We backed up to the forest and there was plenty of exploring for the kids. We would defiantly stay at this location again. Central and easy to get to all major locations.

It was amazing, we even got a few inches of snow. The temperature went down really quick and as soon as we turned on the heat the house was warm in minutes. Every morning we had visits from the chipmunks and deers. The house was very clean when we checked in. Would love to stay there again.

I hesitate to write a glowing review as I hate for others to occupy this house, however our stay here was magical. We stayed over Christmas 8 people total. The size and quality of the house was fantastic. The scenery was indescribably beautiful. The kitchen was amazingly well outfitted enough for us to prepare a complete turkey and ham Christmas dinner. The price was an astounding value. We hope to utilize this wonderful place again. Thank you RVR staff for a family Christmas that we will always treasure!

The first time I emailed about a home I had found I heard right back in a very short time that the home wasn't available but they had suggestions on other properties that were. When I called in needing the place the next day they were very helpful and friendly and I quickly had a place to stay.

Evans-Dacha was a beautiful home with wonderful furnishings! The beds were very comfortable. The location was far enough outside of town to enjoy the country and peacefulness but close enough for driving to site see, shop and do wine tasting. The wildlife was amazing. Deer and turkeys every morning and evening! Such a pretty area and would have loved to of had our grandchildren along to have seen the wildlife and to of been able to rock hunt in the hills! Great all the way around!

We had family travel from PA who joined us in Sioux Falls then traveled together to Custer to stay at the Evans-Dacha cabin. We had 5 adults and 3 children and had plenty of room to stay. The cabin location was perfect for us to spend each day touring the Black Hills and return to make meals daily. There was plenty of kitchen utensils and a few other basic items to use. The cabin was secluded with plenty of rocks in the hills to hike and wildlife around to enjoy. We will definitely stay here again! Enjoy your visit!

Our family had a fabulous time at Evans-Dacha. The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed. The kitchen was very, very, nice and well supplied for cooking. All rooms were decorated in a rustic theme and were very clean.
The bathrooms had plenty of towels etc. The beds were extremely comfortable. We spent most of our time on the lovely deck watching the wildlife. In fact we always ate on the deck. There was a large hill behind the cabin to climb and a fort for the kids to explore. The fire pit was a hit and we enjoyed that many times as well. The cabin is not far from all the sites and things to do in the Black Hills. We are already planning our next trip to Evans-Dacha. Can't say enough good things about it.

We selected this house for a group because of its great location both close to Custer, and off the main roads where it is quiet and we were certainly Not disappointed! In the morning all you hear are birds and the whispering pines, and at night all you see are stars! One day we counted 15 deer in the area!!
The big modern kitchen was perfect for making large group meals and easy breakfasts - the living room was big enough for us all to gather when we weren't out on the gorgeous deck! We used the fire ring several times and the grill nearly every day! This house was perfect for the adults and kids with three bathrooms and room for all 9 of us to sleep comfortably. We will certainly rent this beautiful property again!
