Visiting the Black Hills has never been so convenient in this lovely detached apartment. The Dakota Cabin is just around the corner from Sheridan Lake and under a mile to the local wineries, including Prairie Berry Winery. Relax in the evenings on the patio and enjoy the visiting wildflie, or roast marshmallows by the fire pit. The Dakota Cabin is completely furnished, including towels and linens. The kitchenette includes a mini refrigerator, sink, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, electric frying pan, and cups. This home can sleep 4 comfortably and is dog friendly for $10.00 extra per night per dog (maximum 2 dogs). There is no pet fence at this home.
Planning a trip to the hills to ATV/UTV/snowmobile? This home is located near Gordon Gulch Road (1.5 miles away) which has many forest service roads which also connect to the Hill City ATV/UTV trail systems which turn into snowmobile trails in the winter. While this home has a beautiful forest background, there is an ATV/UTV rental place across the road as well as a candy shop, gas station, and casino. Not to mention, it's only a couple of miles to Hill City where there are several shops, restaurants and a local grocery store.
Guests with motorcycles will love this home as there is only 500 feet of gravel to the highway, making it both centrally located and easy to get around. In addition to the limited gravel, there is plenty of parking outside for trailers and vehicles. Please note, the garage is not available for guests use.
If you're looking for the best combination of comfort and location with a smaller group, the Dakota Cabin is the perfect getaway for your Black Hills vacation!

*Reserve the neighboring Creekside Gem for additional accommodations and receive $50 off per night. It sleeps 12 additional people. The Creekside Gem is a separate detached house and may be rented separately from the Dakota Cabin. Also, the wifi available at this home is satellite, limited data style internet, which is not suitable for streaming or zoom meetings.

My only contact with the team was thru emails. Everything I needed to know was clearly spelled out making it easy to find the cabin and get checked in. Everything was great when we got there and had no issues the whole time while we were there. It made for a nice worry free vacation.

My husband and I loved the Dakota Cabin. It was perfect for the 2 of us. We loved our coffee with a great view every morning on the patio. The cabin located right outside of hill city was in a perfect spot for everything we wanted to do while we were on vacation. When we came back tired at the end of the day it was nice to have a cozy spot just for the 2 of us. It was hard to leave when our trip was over, cant wait to visit again. Thank you!

We had one issue where our key code didn't work. We were able to get in with a physical key, but the team quickly came by and fixed it the next morning. Our power also went out for 3 hours right at the beginning of the trip because of the storms, but our call was promptly answered and she reported the outage to us. The flashlight bulb could do with changing.

Very lovely. It overlooks the valley and it feels isolated even though there are other homes pretty near by and a city near by. The propane fire pit was perfect on the cooler nights. Will definitely keep in mind for our next stay out there.

Was very happy with our stay at the Dakota cabin. Easy to find, good location, clean. Would stay here again for sure. Only downside is theres not a full kitchen, but the kitchenette was enough for what my husband and i needed.
